As a classic chronograph, the One was developed to bring back the humble allure of traditional watches.

The established sensibility is supported by pragmatic engineering, including the watch with an automatic movement, a stopwatch function, and a date feature to keep you on track of your days.

In-House Movement Refinements in our Hamburg Workshop

In order to meet the high demands of our watches, we finish and refine our movements at the highest level in-house. These include, among others: Grinding on the rotors, engravings and screws, which we polish and thermally blue. Each watch is fully assembled in our workshop in Hamburg and undergoes a strict quality control before shipping.

Thermally Blued Screws & Hands

Every single screw is pre-polished on a lapidating machine with diamond-studded polishing paper in a grain size of 9-0,5μm. To remove even the finest scratches, they are polished again by hand. Finally, the screws are thoroughly cleaned and thermally blued at approx. 300°C. The blue color not only looks beautiful, it also serves as protection against corrosion.

UV Resistant Lacquer Finished Brass Dial with Front & Back Sapphire Glass

The inspiration for lacquered dials comes from historic enamel dials which were common in pocket watches in the late 19th century. Lacquering dials is a more modern technique used to achieve the same historic feel of enamel dials, but with greater control and consistency.

Geneva Striped Rotor with Rhodium & Gold Plated Oscillation Weight

The Geneva stripes are manufactured with a precision lathe. The engravings are designed and drawn in house, then engraved on the watch with a diamond-needle engraving machine.

Supersoft Oysterglove Calf Leather Strap & Quick Release Butterfly Clasp

The vegetable-dyed Italian calfskin strap impresses with its smooth, rich surface, its close grain structure, and its supple, soft feel - all making this leather bracelet extremely comfortable to wear. The luxurious feel is complemented with a quick release butterfly clasp to help keep your watch in great shape.

Inspiration from Historic Designs

Each watch in the revival collection takes inspiration from the original Hevelius pocket watch from 1909. The One and the Phoenix have modern twists and complexity added to them but maintain the overall spirit and aesthetics of the original Eugen Wegner time pieces.
